I started doing magic in the 50's out of a desire to be accepted in my new home town school in Fraser, Michigan by buying a deck of magic cards at Webb Drug Store. I did a few card tricks in third grade and it went well. I continued doing small shows for family and friends during this time throughout my elementary school years up to High School and into my adult years as a semi-professional performer. During all this time I've used the name "Mandara the Magician" most my life but have now decided to change it. So after a discussion with a very attractive fire eater named Sophie Evans about my name change, I will now be going under the name "Magic Bob". It's friendly and suits my comic magic show I have been doing for almost over 40 years. Recently I was living in Las Vegas, formerly working at the Flamingo Hotel/Casino for a comic-magician to whom I sold his first magic props back in 1972 and he took my magic classes and now he is a Vegas entertainer and what was I doing, I was setting up his props and being stage manager. I decided I wanted to do my own thing and after I quit his show I started doing magic around the different casinos working for Houdini Magic Company. After over a year in Vegas I decided to head back to Michigan and re-establish my act here again.
Magic Bob is now here.

A little history of Magic Bob.
"In the beginning was magic......"
Photos of my early business cards in the 60's for myself and for a two man show
with my friend Paul billing us as the Mandaras. The other photo is of the sword cabinet I made in
high school, I'm holding the swords and Paul is in the box.
My earliest professional performance pictures, taken at the Fraser
Lion's father and son banquet in the late 60's. I built the guillotine shown below, it worked
most the time.
